"Dame un Beso"
One of the icons of Western figurative art is Michelangelo's "David" and plaster castings of details from this sculpture abound, especially in the studios of figurative sculptors. This little stone sculpture pokes fun at those deified details and challenges the idea that one gigantic work of art could (or should) be a guiding principal for artists so many generations later. And the bronze casting of the original stone carving takes this idea to Mardi Gras.
