"Out of the Garden"

     This sculpture explores the neap-tide line between peace and chaos. The impression of the face inside the hemisphere represents the (unwilling) movement from a tranquil environment to the whirling frenzy of the world outside. The face, although carved in the negative, becomes a three-dimensional hologram when viewed with one eye closed or through a camera lens.
